Abstract

Smoking cessation is a critical public health priority, and community-based interventions have emerged as effective strategies for supporting individuals in quitting smoking. This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluate the effectiveness of community-based smoking cessation interventions in achieving long-term abstinence and reducing tobacco-related health risks. Drawing from randomized controlled trials, cohort studies, and intervention evaluations, the review synthesizes evidence on the impact of various intervention components, such as counseling, nicotine replacement therapy, and community support networks. Furthermore, it explores factors influencing intervention success, such as socioeconomic status, social support, and cultural considerations, and identifies strategies for enhancing the reach and effectiveness of community-based smoking cessation programs.
