Abstract
Socioeconomic factors play a significant role in shaping maternal and child health outcomes worldwide, with disparities evident across different socioeconomic strata. This review examines the influence of socioeconomic determinants, including income, education, occupation, and access to healthcare, on maternal and child health indicators such as maternal mortality, infant mortality, birth outcomes, and child development. Drawing from global evidence, including cross-sectional studies, cohort analyses, and demographic surveys, the review highlights the pathways through which socioeconomic factors impact health outcomes and identifies strategies for addressing socioeconomic inequalities to improve maternal and child health globally.
