Technology-Based Interventions for Mental Health Promotion and Treatment: A Systematic Review
Abstract
Technology-based interventions have emerged as promising tools for promoting mental health and delivering evidence-based treatments for mental disorders. This systematic review evaluates the effectiveness of various technology-based interventions, including mobile applications, online platforms, virtual reality, and telehealth services, in promoting mental well-being and addressing mental health conditions. It synthesizes evidence from randomized controlled trials, meta-analyses, and systematic reviews to assess the impact of these interventions on mental health outcomes, such as symptom reduction, improved coping skills, and treatment adherence. Additionally, the review discusses implementation considerations, user pAbstract, and potential barriers to the widespread adoption of technology-based mental health interventions.
