Abstract

Environmental factors play a crucial role in shaping childhood developmental outcomes, impacting cognitive, social, and emotional development. This systematic review explores the influence of various environmental factors, including exposure to toxins, socioeconomic status, family environment, and access to quality early childhood education, on children's developmental trajectories. It synthesizes evidence from longitudinal studies, cohort studies, and intervention trials to elucidate the complex interplay between environmental exposures and developmental outcomes. Additionally, the review discusses implications for public health policy and intervention strategies aimed at promoting optimal child development.
