Abstract
Health inequities persist worldwide, disproportionately affecting marginalized and disadvantaged populations. This comprehensive review examines the role of social determinants, including socioeconomic status, education, employment, and access to healthcare, in shaping health disparities. It synthesizes evidence from various disciplines, including public health, sociology, and economics, to elucidate the complex pathways through which social factors influence health outcomes. The review also discusses the implications for policy and intervention strategies aimed at addressing underlying social determinants to achieve health equity.
