Abstract

Noise pollution, a prevalent environmental stressor in urban areas, has been associated with adverse effects on cardiovascular health. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to synthesize existing evidence on the relationship between noise exposure and cardiovascular outcomes, including hypertension, coronary artery disease, and stroke. The review identifies sources of noise pollution, such as traffic and industrial activities, and examines the mechanisms through which noise contributes to cardiovascular pathology, including stress response and sleep disturbances. Furthermore, the review explores potential interventions and policy implications for mitigating the cardiovascular health risks associated with noise pollution.
