Abstract

Access to clean and safe water is essential for maintaining public health, yet many communities around the world face challenges related to water quality. This review examines the various factors influencing water quality, including contamination sources, treatment methods, and regulatory frameworks. It discusses the health risks associated with consuming contaminated water, such as gastrointestinal illnesses, waterborne diseases, and long-term health effects. Additionally, the review explores the socioeconomic disparities in access to clean water and proposes strategies for improving water quality and promoting community health.
